Alison Bow, BVMandS, MSc, MRCVS
Veterinarian and Facility Director
Dr. Bow grew up in Toronto and has always had a passion for animal care and science. She earned her undergraduate degree in Biology and Evolutionary Sciences at Bishop’s University, completed a Master’s in Animal Behaviour and Welfare at the University of Guelph, and went on to achieve her veterinary degree at the University of Edinburgh in Scotland.
She became a veterinarian because she loves the challenge of problem-solving and believes there’s “no better feeling than helping an animal that otherwise can’t help themselves.” Her professional interests include internal medicine, palliative care, ultrasound, preventative medicine, surgery, and strengthening the human-animal bond. She is also currently pursuing a postgraduate certificate in feline medicine.
Outside the clinic, Dr. Bow enjoys spending time with her husband and their three young boys.
She loves travelling, but she’s just as happy staying in for a family board-game night.
